G&D Ironworkers Are Fighting for Their Rights
G&D Integrated continues to deny workers the right to organize. Here’s a timeline of the fight to unionize and where it’s going.
On September 7, 2021, ironworkers at G&D Integrated in Morton, Illinois, demanded that management voluntarily recognize their union.
On or around September 12, 2021, G&D Integrated hired multiple “labor relations consultants” (professional union busters) to visit Morton, Illinois, to scare workers away from exercising their federal right to organize.
Here are two of the union busters G&D is working with to prevent workers from gaining a contract. Both are known to contract with Labor Relations Institute.
And here’s how much G&D has paid their union busters in past years—instead of sitting down to negotiate a fair contract with their employees.
As of September 16, 2021, workers have made multiple attempts to negotiate a fair contract with G&D. To this day, G&D has refused to work with or respond to the employees, instead choosing to work only with union busters.
